THE CORRIDOR GROUP ANNOUNCES THE ACQUISITION OF DAYMARCK

OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS, JANUARY 23, 2014―The Corridor Group (TCG) announced today that it has recently acquired Daymarck, a leading national provider of outsourced medical coding and OASIS review services for post-acute healthcare providers. The acquisition expands client offerings to address market-driven cost pressures, ICD-10 transition preparation, reimbursement policy changes, increased compliance scrutiny and market consolidation across the health care delivery continuum. It also directly strengthens TCG’s education and consulting solutions related to ICD-10.

In connection with the transaction, Karl “Nick” Dobrzelecki, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Daymarck, was named Vice President of TCG. As part of this role, Mr. Dobrzelecki will work in collaboration with TCG’s existing leadership team and report directly to Des Varady, President and COO of The Corridor Group. Mr. Dobrzelecki is a senior-level executive with nearly 20 years of experience in the healthcare continuum. Prior to founding Daymarck in 2007, he served in leadership roles for Kettering Medical Center and Home Care Network, which included their previous Ohio Medicaid Waiver case management contract, and served as an officer with the US Army which included tours with Evans Army Community Hospital, the 10th Combat Support Hospital in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Irwin Army Community Hospital.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to combine services with a company like The Corridor Group, that has such a strong reputation for excellence in service to the post-acute marketplace,” said Nick Dobrzelecki. “Daymarck has been actively pursuing the right partner to help with expansion of our business, and with TCG we can work together to define the best services to deliver the most value to our clients.”

Both organizations share a deep commitment to high quality, intimate customer relationships, innovative approaches to delivering practical solutions and an exclusive focus on post-acute healthcare providers. Most importantly, a strong commitment to attracting and retaining great staff is at the heart of both companies’ culture and success.  Through its partnership with Daymarck, TCG clients have the ability to take advantage of outsourced coding & OASIS review, coding support to providers with in-house coders and education for ICD-10 and OASIS.

“We want to provide effective outsourced solutions to assist post-acute providers as they prepare for the monumental ICD-10 transition,” said Des Varady. “This acquisition expands our capabilities so we can provide ongoing solutions to ensure operational compliance, deliver expanded educational resources to help clients better prepare for ICD-10 and add increased value to those providers that partner with TCG. We are excited to add Nick and his team to the TCG family.”
